| PAVEL SRNÍČEK | |
| Date of birth: March 3, 1968 Present place of work: head coach of goalkeeper´s school He came to play in Bazaly from Bohumín in 1985 and played for the club until 1991 when he transferred to Newcastle United. He got a working permit in England also thanks to his French passport then. He returned to Baník for a short period in 1998 where he played six matches and in the autumn of the same year he went back to England to play for Sheffield Wednesday. He transferred again from England to Brescia Calcio in Italy and then he went back to Portsmouth in England. Once again he left the Brithish Isles to play for Beira Mar Aveiro in Portugal but returned to play to his first English club in Newcastle where he spent the 2006/2007 season. Now he leads goalie school in the Banik Ostrava. Achievements: Pavel played for the national team in UEFA Euro 1996 winning silver medal. He and his team-mates ended in basic group in the following European championship – UEFA Euro 2000. He was also successful with the national team in FIFA Cup in 1997 winning the third place. He participated in the national team from 1991 to 2001 in 49 matches. |

| RADEK SLONČÍK | |

Date of birth: May 29, 1973
Present place of work: FC Karviná (2nd League) He started playing football in Šumperk and he came to Bazaly right from there. He experienced with Baník a famous period of early 1990s and gradually worked his way up to be one of the biggest personalities of Czech league. He was not only an expert of vertical passes, drop passes or forward passes but he also was a natural leader of the squad and still is a favourite player of the fans. He went through all youth categories in the national team and was the captain in most of the teams. After an awakening of interest in him from the side of two Prague clubs (Sparta and Slavia) he signed a contract with Sparta in the spring of 2000. After a short intermezzo in Újpest FC (Budapest, Hungary) he returned to play for Baník in the summer of 2003 and won the title in the 1st League plus won with Baník in Czech F. A. Cup the next year. In January 2007 he went to an ambitious club Fotbal Fulnek and helped it to be promoted to the 2nd League. Now he play in FC Karviná. Achievements: Radek played in 1st League in the 2000/2001 season and won the title first with AC Sparta Prague and then with Baník Ostrava in 1st Gambrinus League in the 2003/2004 season. He also triumphed in Czechoslovak F. A. Cup in the 1990/1991 season and in Czech F. A. Cup in the 2004/2005 season. He played for the national team 17 times between 1996 and 2000. |

| TOMÁŠ ŘEPKA | |

Date of birth: January 2, 1974
Present place of work: AC Sparta Prague He is very good in heading and is a hard back. He played in all youth national teams and in 1990 he was a member of the Under-16 national team that won in European championship. He missed winning silver medal in UEFA Euro 1996 only because of being penalized a red card in an Under-21 European championship qualification match. He played for Baník between 1991 and 1995 and then for Sparta for the following three years. In 1998 he went to ACF Fiorentina in Italy, then he headed for England and he wore a West Ham United jersey from 2001. He returned home and has played for Sparta since January 2006. Achievements: He played in Czech national team in UEFA Euro 2000 ending in basic group. As for his 1st League performance he played there in the 1996/1997 and 1997/1998 seasons and won the title with Sparta Prague in the 2006/2007 season. He played for the national team 46 times from 1993 to 2001 and scored one goal. |

Present place of work: Borussia Mönchengladbach (Germany) He is a classical Baník disciple. He also went through all youth national teams. His strong point is versatility above all. He has a capability of managing various tasks in defensive play owing to his ability to read the game. A high technical level of his and intelligence give him a precondition to be similarly successful in offensive play. He played for Baník until 1997 when he decided a little hectically to go to play for Willem II. Tilburg in the Netherlands. Three years later he headed for Ajax Amsterdam where he became the captain. He has been wearing a jersey of 1. FC Nurnberg in German Bundesliga and he triumphed with the team in German Cup in 2007. One year after his club left Bundesliga ane Tomas returned in Banik. On January 2009 he came back to Germany, he play in Borussia. Achievements: He played for the national team in FIFA World Cup 2006 where it ended in basic group and before that he played in UEFA Euro 2004 where the national team went through to the semifinals. He won the title in 1st Dutch League in the 2001/2002 and the 2003/2004 seasons. He also triumphed in Dutch Cup in 2005/2006 and in German Cup in 2006/2007. He played for the national team in 51 matches since 1995 and scored one goal. |

Present place of work: AC Milan (Italy) He was already a member of a Baník team from his studies in a sports primary school. Initially he was a classical forward but as time went by he retrained himself for a classical wing back. He is known for an outstanding kicking technique of his left foot. His execution of standard situations is a first-class one. This is what SSC Napoli noticed and the club transferred him from Baník to Italy in 2000. Two years later he headed north to play for Udinese Calcio. He has been a member of star-studded AC Milan and he won UEFA Champions League with the team in 2007. Achievements: Marek formed part of the national team in FIFA World Cup 2006 ending in basic group. He also played in two European championships: UEFA Euro 2004 - semifinals, UEFA Euro 2000 – basic group. The Czech Republic’s performance with him in the team in 2000 Olympic Games ended in basic group. He had a chance to participate in UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2000 which led to the team’s game in the finals. He was also successful in UEFA Champions League winning it with AC Milan in the 2006/2007 season. He collected 74 matches in the national team since 2000 and scored 11 goals. Present place of work: FC Baník Ostrava René Bolf has an uncompromising fighting spirit and is excellent in air combats. He came to Baník in 1996 where he played his first league match. He was playing for the club until 1999 when he left for AC Sparta Prague. He returned to Ostrava in 2000 and won the title with the club in the 2003/2004 season. In the spring of 2004 he went to France to play for AJ Auxerre but he was troubled by health problems so he returned to Baník again in June 2007. Achievements: He played in the semifinals in UEFA Euro 2004 and won two league titles: First he triumphed with AC Sparta Prague in 1st League in the 1999/2000 season and then with Baník Ostrava in 1st Gambrinus League in the 2003/2004 season. He played in the national team 34 times since 2000. |

Present place of work: Galatasaray Istanbul (Türkye) He came to Baník from Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in 1993. He became the best young competitor in the League in a survey called ‘Young Star of the Season‘ in the 1998/1999 season. He made his debut in 1st League at the age of 17 and he wore an Under-21 national team jersey a year later. He went to play for Liverpool FC in winter break of the 2001/2002 season and thus a dream of Mr. Hadamczik’s, the owner of the team of that time about selling him profitably abroad, came true. He won UEFA Champions League with Liverpool FC but he left the club for Aston Villa FC after the season. He was transferred to Olympique Lyonnais as an exchange for John Carew and could enjoy the victory of the club in French League. In the summer 2008 he left to Galatasaray Istanbul. Achievements: He played in FIFA World Cup 2006 ending with the team in basic group as well as in UEFA Euro 2004 where he went through to the semifinals with the team and was awarded the title for the best scorer. He also participated in 2000 Olympic Games ending in basic group. As for his participation in youth competitions he played in UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2002 winning the title as well as in UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2000 playing in the finals and in UEFA European Under-18 Championship in 2002 where the national team lost its match for 3rd place. As for club competitions he won in UEFA Champions League in the 2004/2005 season, he also triumphed in French League in the 2006/2007 season. In the 2002/2003 season he won Worthington Cup and in the 2004/2005 season he played in the finals of Carling Cup. He played 74 times in the national team since 2001 scoring 32 goals. Present place of work: He finished his career, formerly he played for FC Schalke 04 (Germany) He was a tireless hard worker as well as a captain every inch, hard both to himself and to the others. This brilliant back considered himself a Haná region patriot. When he returned home after a successful seven-year engagement in FC Schalke 04 his parent Sigma Olomouc dismissed him from the squad so he came to Ostrava in 2003. He rose the team to the title of home champions in a year and a half and he triumphed with it in Czech F. A. Cup in the following season. That was the season when he finished his rich footballing career. The heights of his career were a victory in UEFA Cup in 1997 and silver medal in UEFA Euro 1996. After his professional career he threw himself into coaching career and at present he is working as a coach of SFC Opava (2nd league). Achievements: He played in the finals in UEFA Euro 1996 and in basic group in UEFA Euro 2000. He won the title in 1st Gambrinus League in the 2003/2004 season. As for cup competitions he triumphed in UEFA Cup in 1997, Czechoslovak F. A. Cup in the 1989/1990 season with Dukla Prague and in German Cup in 2000/2001. Present place of work: Kobenhaven FC (Denmark) Libor went in his father’s footsteps as a Baník disciple. His father played in the glorious era and won a title in 1970s. This agile halfback or forward quickly attracted attention of the others and in 1999 he went to Sparta where he spent four years. Then he played shortly in Grazer AK (Austria) transferring to FK Austria Wien in 2004. Finally he transferred to the famous Rangers FC in the summer of 2006. Now he play in Denmark. Achievements: He played with the national team in basic groups in FIFA World Cup 2006 and in 2000 Olympic Games. He also succeeded in one more international tournament, namely in UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2000 where the team went through to the finals. He won the title with AC Sparta Prague in 1st League in the 1999/2000, 2000/2001 and 2002/2003 seasons. He also won Czechoslovak F. A. Cup in 2004. As for his career abroad he became champion with FK Austria Wien in 1st Austrian Bundesliga in the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons. Present place of work: 1. FC Brno (Czech Republic) Marek is renowned as a football poet with an amazing left foot. Although he spent just a year in Baník, it was sufficient for him not only to win the title with the club but also to gain the title of king of league scorers and earned much money to the club in a profitable transfer. Marek was originally a Sigma Olomouc forward and he came to Ostrava in the summer of 2003 after he hadn’t succeeded in two German clubs: Hamburger SV and DSC Arminia Bielefeld. After winning the title with Baník he headed for Borussia Mönchengladbach but in 2005 he moved again to Galatasaray S.K.. Nevertheless, he also stayed short time there. He has been wearing an ASSE Saint-Étienne jersey since the autumn of 2006. One year later he left to FC Nantes, but from the summer 2008 he played already in Czech Republic, now he is striker od 1. FC Brno. Achievements: He played in FIFA World Cup 2006 in basic group and UEFA Euro 2004 in the finals. He also had a chance to participate in 2000 Olympic Games playing in basic group. Earlier he played with the national team in UEFA European Under-21 Championship in the finals. He also won the title with Baník in 1st Gambrinus League in the 2003/2004 season and gained the title of king of league scorers. In the 2005/2006 season he won the title in 1st Turkish League. Date of birth: July 7, 1982
Present place of work: West Ham United (England) He is an outstanding and talented goalkeeper who contributed to a great extent in winning the title in 2003. After the successful season this Karviná disciple went to play for Ukrainian Doneck Sachtor where he also experienced playing UEFA Champions League. Unfortunately, he was eliminated from the team‘s basic lineup owing to a rule of compulsory nomination of home players. For that reason he went to guest into Fulham FC (England). In spite of playing a few matches in F. A. Premier League he returned to Doneck Sachtor again after the season. He extented the contract with the club only by one year and set out to guest in VfL Bochum 1848 in German Bundesliga. In season 2008/2009 he play in West Ham United. Achievements: He won the title with Baník in 1st Gambrinus League in the 2003/2004 season and also became champion with Sachtor in 1st Ukrainian League in the 2004/2005 season. He has collected 17 matches in Under-21 national team between 2002 and 2003. |

| Date of birth: November 1, 1983 Present place of work: FC Sochaux (France) This young and prospective forward headed for Germany in 2003 and thus robbed himself of a chance to win the title with Baník. After his transfer to Borussia Mönchengladbach he was fighting for a post in basic line-up. Afterwards he guested in Hertha BSC Berlin in spring and in the following season he was helping FK Austria Wien in Austrian League and won Austrian Cup with the club. After the season he returned to Baník where he would like to bounce off towards excellent football performance again. He was a top scorer of season 2007/2008 and in February 2008 he left to Sochaux. Achievements: He won Austrian Cup in the 2006/2007 season. He played 8 times scoring 1 goal in national team. |
